Tornadoes occur in the UK more often than most people realise, although they usually go unnoticed if they occur over open land. Sometimes however tornadoes can cause significant damage when they occur in built-up areas. Whilst disruptive for those affected, such events provide an ideal opportunity for TORRO to undertake site investigations and discover more about these tornadic events.
