While at work on this day, a colleague asked if I was heading chasing in the evening. I said that I wasn't, because as I had to be in work the following day I needed to in bed early (8pm!!). Around 5.30pm that evening, we started to hear grumbling noises, but couldn't quite work out where it was coming from. It was definitely thunder, but our limited view to the south from the flat didn't give any clues. So I ventured out onto the cricket green to take a look to the west and north, and lo and behold... Mother Nature had sent a storm to us!
